Semana Santa de Hellín

Once again we are on Ash Wednesday, a date for hellineros means something very important as the presentation of the magazines and posters that proclaim our Easter to all corners of our geography, while the countdown begins, ending with the celebration of our Festival which is equal or our Easter.

In a few dates will mark the first year which was declared of International Tourist Interest, at the time and being so close to Easter, we had no time to absorb and enjoy what your appointment supposed to Hellin and Easter, now A year later, everyone can make the determination they need, I believe, that apart from the work of both associations, the involvement of the council, which has been intense, and of course, the help and interest Francisco Pardo, this award possible for Hellin.

Mis valoraciones son las siguientes: 

First and foremost we have to have a memory for people in the years 40-50, without so many technical means of communication or as we now knew how to pick the best sculptors of the time and bring Hellín imagery that we currently have and both in quantity and quality, I think is one of the best in Spain as evidenced Coullaut-Valera, Andes Fernandez, Victor de los Rios, Jose Díes, Zamorano Noguera and the Lying of Benlliure among others, to all those people as hellinero, my sincere thanks for the memories and artistic legacy that they learned and bring Hellin Hellin.

Secondly, once Hellín images were difficult years and had to be surrounded by people who made us feel the love and enthusiasm for our Holy Week, and indeed they succeeded, only to look back we can remember seeing the "Pocho" in "Step Gordo", "Paquico the Isser," "Jordan", "Mentirola" and "Melchior" in the Cross, "Gervasio", Miguel Lopez, and the "Maestro" in San Juan, the Arrest with the "Paisa" and Paco Portaña The Sorrows with D. Gonzalo and Quibian and etc.. Those people were expected at that time, those who taught us to love our Holy Week and on the basis of work and effort, managed to maintain and enhance what we have now.

And finally, most recently, our presence in FITUR, I think that was the ultimate accolade, and again with the support and patronage of the Municipality.

And now when all and say all fraternities, Nazarene, drummers, bands and people in general, we must be more united than ever to not only maintain what we have, but go slowly enlarging and improving it where possible we have to welcome and respect for our elders and for people to visit us, we can contemplate the best Easter.
